Demonizing Eroticism
Religious mythology has created a wealth of opportunity in virtual settings and characters for the sexual mind to wander. Is it your prayer to have a supernatural experience? And would you prefer to mingle with angels of light or dark? Would an angel from Valhalla blessing you with a sexual reward as your welcome thru the passage of death, work? Or is there something about a flirtatious and beguiling she-devil luring you into her lair that warms your loins?
Demons, gargoyles and even the Satanic breath of Lucifer might pose a dark and thrilling adrenaline rush for a lady or gay male. Who would know the fleshly carnal prurient delights of sexual kink better than the fallen angel, himself?
The puritan christian ethic and perhaps other religious thought systems have had difficulty allowing the passions of sexuality to rise up to heights of divine spiritual experience. And when it does, it seems it must be the sort of ecstasy only a single virgin can know. Somehow, this kind of religion has found a way to draw a nebulous line between that which is sexually sacred and that which is perversely vile. Such boundaries didn't seem to keep its clergy and moral leadership from breaking their godly vows of celibacy thru acts of fornication, masturbation, homosexuality and those who desire sex with the young. Okay, so they are human too and are as tempted by the dark forces as any of us, right?
How is it that a virgin birth would be so rapturous? Is it not the zenith of sexual fantasy to believe that there is something so special about you that your teenage virginity would be "immaculately consummated" by the aura of a God being?
No sermons here. But, what really is the line between that which is sexually heavenly and salaciously evil? I have never known a more spiritual and enlightening experience than being in the embrace of an explosive mutual orgasm with my soul partner. Could there possibly be anything sinful, nasty, dirty and shameful about that?
At the same time, there are darker sinister realms where it is obvious that the intent is to defile, conquer and ravage. But, what the hell--in the context of a fantasy--even that could be kinda fun.
The ethereal realms of celestial palaces and the fire and brimstone valleys of molten turmoil present a universe of spirits, ghosts, heavenly hosts, and demon possessors--all prime targets for sexual imagery. "In the eye of the beholder," they say. Behold: Pornotopia.com--a utopia of sexual fantasy art with angels, devils and demons galore.
